This privacy policy explains how the Westward Ads Automation application (the "App"), operated by House Spirits Distillery LLC, doing business as Westward Whiskey ("we", "us", "our"), accesses, uses, shares, protects, retains and deletes Google user data obtained through Google APIs. It applies in addition to our general Privacy Policy.

The App is an internal tool used only by authorized Westward Whiskey staff to manage Westward Whiskey's own Google Ads account. It is not offered to the public or to other businesses.

Data Accessed

When an authorized user signs in with their Google Account and grants permission, the App requests access to the Google Ads API using the scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords ("See, edit, create, and delete your Google Ads accounts and data"). With this permission, the App accesses the following Google user data:

  • Google Account information: the authorizing user's OAuth access and refresh tokens, used to connect to the Google Ads API on that user's behalf.
  • Google Ads account data: account settings, campaigns, ad groups, keywords, ads, assets, audiences, conversion settings and change history for Westward Whiskey's Google Ads account.
  • Google Ads reporting data: aggregated performance metrics such as impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, conversion value, search terms and location and device reports.

The App does not access the user's Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google service.

Data Usage

We use Google user data only to provide the App's features to Westward Whiskey's own marketing team:

  • generating internal performance reports and account health audits;
  • identifying optimization opportunities for our own advertising campaigns; and
  • where explicitly enabled by our team, making limited budget and bidding changes to our own campaigns.

We do not use Google user data to serve advertisements, to build profiles of individuals, for credit or lending decisions, or for any purpose other than managing our own Google Ads account.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade Google user data. We do not transfer or disclose Google user data to third parties for purposes other than those described in this policy. Google user data may be shared only:

  • with service providers that process it on our behalf solely to produce our internal analysis (for example, AI analysis providers), under terms that prohibit them from using it for any other purpose;
  • when required by law, regulation or legal process; or
  • with the user's explicit consent.

Data Protection

We protect Google user data with the following security procedures:

  • all communication between the App and Google APIs is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS;
  • OAuth tokens and credentials are stored in protected configuration files on company-controlled, password-protected devices and cloud infrastructure, and are never published, emailed or shared;
  • access to the App, its credentials and its reports is limited to authorized Westward Whiskey staff who need it for their work.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain Google user data only for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, typically no longer than 24 months for reporting data, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Users can revoke the App's access to their Google Account at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. After access is revoked, the App can no longer retrieve Google user data, and we delete the stored OAuth tokens. To request deletion of any other Google user data held by the App, contact us at the address below; we will delete it within 30 days.

Compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy

The App's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed.
